About The Department of Mathematics
Date of Establishment :
The department of mathematics was established simultaneously with the Faculty of Science in the academic year 1430/1431 H.
Vision:
To keep up-to-date with the modern sciences of mathematics and to have qualified graduates equipped with insight and research skills in the fields of mathematics.
Mission:
To upgrade performance standards in the field of mathematics in order to be a leading department on the national, regional and international levels.
Objectives:
1. To provide professionals in the field of mathematics in order to support
the national development programs within public and higher
education institutes. 2. To encourage scientific research and publications in the accredited
scientific journals.
3. To encourage participation in scientific forums , seminars. and
workshops.
4. To encourage follow-up of the latest scientific research and techniques in
the fields of mathematics. 5. To encourage scientific collaboration with other related areas such as
statistics, operations research, physics, and engineering, ….etc. 6. To fulfill other departments course requirements.
7. To participate in the development of the society by offering scientific
consultations and services to solve the encountered problems. 8. To exchange experiences with other faculties and research centers.

- Research and IT Centers (Researchers / Data analyst ).
- Banks, insurance companies, …..etc (Data analysts / Strategic planning
